Lyrics: Rune Lindborg

Music: In the tradition of Lillmats Anna Ersson, Dalbyn, Ore

Arrangement: Anders Nyberg

A beautiful "Hornlåt" – a tune for cow-horn from Ore in Dalarna, Sweden.

These kind of instruments were used to communicate over great distances and these melodies have a specially pure and often haunting quality. This specific melody has been given words by Rune Lindborg. The words can seem, at a first glance, naive and a bit child-like. But just as much of the popular art from Dalarna, the "dalmålningar", draws its beauty and strength from exactly that perspective, which makes it ingenious and artful, so does this song and its perfectly matched lyrics.

The tune is set to a SSATB choral arrangement by Anders Nyberg.
